Sport Relief at Infant School began with the children enjoying an energetic workout led by Mr Appleton. They played a few games that they had been learning in their PE lessons, including the ‘traffic lights and the jelly bean’ game. The children then joined in with an aerobics session and a yoga session to cool down. Even the staff had a go!
At Junior School the children, dressed in their sporty outfits, were challenged to take as many steps as possible in twenty minutes, whilst completing laps of the playground. It was a great way to keep warm and some of the teachers joined in the fun.
Over the course of the week at Senior School, students took part in an orienteering course during their PE lessons. There was a leader board for each year group as well as the overall winners of the course. Students also competed in alternative activities such as goalball, volleyball, sitting volleyball, handball and table tennis.
It was fantastic to see the School rising to the individual challenges and really getting into the spirit of Sports Relief 2018. Well done to all of those involved!
The total amount raised across the School will be announced after the Easter break.
