EPQ requires students to undertake independent research on a topic of their choice, putting into practice skills that will be vital to them in the future. Students have taken ownership of their own project, planned and executed it in order to produce a 5000 word essay.
The exhibition is the final aspect of the EPQ, in which students must present their findings. Students spoke confidently to guests, which included Governors, staff and parents. Each were knowledgeable about their specialist field, impressing their guests who were present. Topics this year included, ‘Should we pay more for branded medicines over generic?’, ‘How has respect for authority figures changed over time?’ and ‘Is democracy the most effective way to govern a society?’
Well done, to all students for presenting an insightful exhibition.
